About BARBATIMAN

 Stryphnodendron spp., popularly known as “barbatiman”, is the native Brazilian tree from bioma Cerrado, most often employed to treat wounds and infections, healing skin wounds, to treat gastritis, ulcers, uterine infection, vaginal discharge, among other benefits. In animals, it has antiseptic, healing, bactericidal and fungicidal properties.. 

   S. adstringens were the species most often observed. Cicatrizing, astringent, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties of the barks were the main attributes that characterized the folk choice of “barbatiman” and they were demonstrated scientifically. Oral and topical were mentioned as the preferred routes of administration. Barbatiman derives from the indigenous term Ybá Timó (tightening tree).

 Our products was born with this cutting-edge ecological awareness in nature preservation and within this proposal I found the cooperative of women farmers from Monjilo in Mato Grosso do Sul in Brazil and they are the ones who collect Bark in nature, preserving the maximum health of the tree, which provides is sustenance and the longevity of this social project. 

 Our product is non-perishable and can have a long using life and easy transportation. In this way, we will arrive through the horse "world" in a first phase, helping humans who need it most, with low-cost and effective natural medicine.  

In this way, we are sure that the answers come from nature and that preserving it depends exclusively on creating ecological awareness that promotes income for local communities, believing that the next revolution will be biological and the profound knowledge of what nature can provide for the human race and is animals in the coming decades. 

 We believe that the next revolution is botany and the understanding of nature, using the knowledge of the indigenous peoples of the Americas, from Canada to Tierra del Fuego in southern Argentina, associating the adventure of innovation that is relevant to another species. All the research was born from the book Libellus de Medicinalibus Indorum Herbis, published in 1552, an Aztec Herbal Manuscript. Our products use; Stryphnodendron Adstringens from Brazil, Hamamelis Virginiana from Canada and Calcium Bentonite Montmorillonite from US. All these ingredients enhance the desired purpose, the closure of wounds as quickly as possible, promoting the well-being of the species to be used, human or animal.
